Fintern Fever #3 @ Stone & Chalk, Sydney (30/03/2017)

The students never need persuading when it comes to exploring careers in Fintech.

Ribit’s most recent ‘Fintern Fever’ offering in partnership with our Fintech generator friends, Stone & Chalk, once again attracted scores of up and coming minds from business, marketing and engineering backgrounds.

Opening events was S&C’s ‘The Hustler’, alongside Neville Stevens (Chair of NSW Productivity Commission) and ex-Ribiter Lifang Song, who detailed her journey from Fintern to Financial Manager for Brighte.

To help them warm up for an afternoon of pitching, the students had guidance from a seasoned professional and man of endless energy – Dr Dean Economou, CTO of Products at Telstra.

As well as many ‘frequent flyer’ business attendees, several fresh faces were delighted to have their pick of Sydney’s brightest emerging minds.

Richard Walton, Senior Policy Analyst at ASX was really impressed with the quality of the students.

‘One student pitched me straight on the spot – that’s initiative!’
